Coming to Indiana!
Gravel Grinder National Championship is moving to Indiana!
Put it on your calendar for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Here's the backstory: DINO works with United States Endurance to obtain insurance & sanctioning of all our cycling events. In 2017, USE started the Gravel Grinder National Championship, which was held in Kansas. From 2022-2024, the championship event was held in Virginia. For 2025, USE was seeking a new venue and approached DINO about hosting the race in Indiana. DINO Director Brian Holzhausen and USE Director Troy Farrar have a long relationship as DINO produced Adventure Race National Championship for Farrar three times (2013, 2014, and 2018).
DINO and USE identified Putnam County as an excellent host location; having a growing and vibrant cycling community as well as many miles of beautiful gravel roads. The course is still being finalized; but watch or a two-lap 100-mile course that wanders between Greencastle and Raccoon Lake State Park. In addition to the championship 100-miler, a non-championship one-lap ride (50ish miles) and a beginner-friendly 10-15 mile ride will be available.
