CHECK-IN: Westwood Park Big Oaks Shelter; Friday, July 25, 6:00–8:00PM or Saturday, July 26, 7:00–8:30AM.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
SWIM: The swim start is from a grassy beach. The course is a 0.5-mile, clockwise, triangular loop in the deepest part of Westwood Lake. Lifeguards will be patrolling the course on kayaks or canoes.
BIKE: The 10 mile bike segment is a meandering loop of the mountain bike trail around the lake (counterclockwise). Though elevation changes are less than 50' per climb, repeated climbing and descending makes the course challenging. The surface is mostly dirt single-track.
RUN: The run course (approximately 4 miles) begins on a wide horse trail heading south from the transition area. The toughest climb of the course comes about one mile in. The route will then join the shaded, scenic bike trail and finish in the reverse direction as the bike start. An aid station will be located at the transition area and at approximately halfway through the run course, before re-joining the mountain bike trail. >> Triathlon Course Map

SUPPORT: Nebo Ridge Bicycles will provide free mechanical service for the race. Nebo Ridge will also be donating door prizes to be awarded at the post-race ceremony. Visit Nebo Ridge Bicycles for your cycling needs – located in the Zionsville / Carmel area.

CAMPING: Camping is available on site. Sites with electric and water are first-come, first-served (no reservations). Primitive camping may also be available. Call Westwood Park for more information and pricing at 765-987-1232.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-70 to the New Castle exit. Turn north on to State Road 3. Go 6.0 miles to State Road 38, turn left (W). On State Road 38 go 1.7 miles to Greensboro Pike. Look for brown Westwood Park signs. Turn left (S) on Greensboro Pike and go 1.1 miles to County Road 100 South. Turn right (W) on 100 South, go 1.3 miles to tee into County Road 275 West. Turn left (S) on 275 West, go 1 mile straight into the Westwood Park entrance and follow the DINO signs.

PARK ENTRY: Westwood Park will waive gate fees on race day (participants only). Spectators will be charged the gate fee. If you visit the park any other day, you may be charged $2.50 entry fee per vehicle. Westwood Park : 765-987-1232. For race-weekend updates, call the DINO Hotline: 317-336-7553
